Czech Catholic Foundation of Texas Announces Annual Meeting
The Czech Catholic Foundation of Texas (CCFT) inaugurated at a Mass celebrated in SS Cyril and Methodius Church by Bishop Branden Cahill in Dubina, Texas on February 14, 2020 will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, January 9, 2021 starting at 10am. The meeting is opened to all interested persons. The meeting will be held by Zoom and followed by a lecture by Fr. Elias Rafaj, Pastor of St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church in Houston, as well as one of the Director/Chaplains of the CCFT. His topic will be Saints Cyril and Methodius and their connection to the Byzantine Church. A virtual tour of his church will be included. The mission of CCFT as a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation is “To document, study, preserve celebrate and perpetuate all elements of the Czech Catholic faith transplanted to Texas by immigrants from the Czech lands; and to strengthen ties with Czech Catholics of the ancestral homeland evangelized by Saints Cyril and Methodius.”
The CCFT/Saints Cyril and Methodius Endowment Fund has been established as a permanent endowment to receive donations to produce earnings to support established goals. CCFT Founder’s membership status, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, remains open until February 14, 2021. Become a founder and supporter of the CCFT’s mission.
